A popular choice amongst arborists. The locksafe balances fast acting security with ease of ‘intentional’ opening. Recommended as a belaying carabiner in conjunction with dynamic nylon rope.
The pear shape allows Munter or Italian hitches to freely rotate in use making the changeover between ‘taking in’ and ‘feeding out’ as seamless as possible. The large rounded basket allows pulleys and connectors to self-centre and minimizes the chance of unnerving connector jumps as you change loading between various connection points. The Taperlock snag free nose profile eliminates ‘catch up’ on wires and slings when clipping and un-clipping.
